FENS Featured Regional Meeting

On September 11 – 14, 2013 the Prague Congress Centre hosted an international neuroscience conference "FENS Featured Regional Meeting" under the auspices of the Federation of European neuroscience societies (FENS). The conference was organized by the Institute of Experimental Medicine ASCR, Institute of Neuroimmunology, Czech Society for Neuroscience, Slovak Society for Neuroscience and the Austrian Alzheimer’s Society. The conference was also supported by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), the European Dana Alliance for the Brain (EDAB) and the European Brain and Behavior Society (EBBS).
The scientific program of the conference has dealt with issues of basic and clinical research on the brain and the entire nervous system. A total of 30 lectures were presented, 350 of poster boards, and six special sections devoted to such as working with experimental animals in neuroscience research, postgraduate education in neuroscience in Europe and ethical issues in neuroscience. The conference was attended by over 600 participants from 60 countries (Czech republic, Slovak republic, Germany, Russia, USA, Hungary, Japan, France, and from Asian and South American countries.
